Early check-in is based on availability and cannot be guaranteed unless booked in advance. Guest departures vary daily. In the event your room type is available and fully serviced by our housekeeping staff, the hotel will provide an early check-in when possible. Additional charges may apply. Luggage storage is available if your room is not ready before 3:00 PM EST.
If your booking is prepaid, nonrefundable – the full stay will still be charged. All other reservations will be subject to an early departure fee.

The Mansfield Hotel is a smoke-free New York hotel. If you smoke in your room or any area within the property, a $300.00 smoking fee will be applied. Noise and smoke complaints are taken very seriously. Excessive noise and all smoke complaints will be addressed by our Security Department. Vaping is not allowed as it triggers the smoke detectors in the rooms. If you experience any type of noise or smoke issue during your stay, please dial “0” for immediate assistance.
The hotel charges a mandatory facility fee of $28.69 inclusive of tax per room, per night, in addition to the room rate. This fee provides guests with an array of services and amenities including:

Any damage to the room(s) or public property within the hotel needs to be reported to management immediately. After review and assessment, a penalty may be posted to your folio based on severity of the damage(s).
42nd Street- Bryant Park Station is located at 6th Avenue and 42nd Street. Connections and/or transfer to the B, D, F and M trains. Grand Central Station is approximately a 10-minute walk from the hotel, located at 89 East 42nd Street. Connections and/ or transfers to the 4, 5, 6, and 7 trains, as well as shuttle service to 42nd Street- Times Square station and Metro North Railway.
Valet parking and self-parking are available through SP+ Parking Garage, located at 38 West 46th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues. The reduced rates for hotel guests are as follows: Valet parking is $45.00 for 24 hours (additional $10 for oversized vehicles). For valet parking, you may leave your car at the hotel entrance and speak with a bellman who will assist you further. Self-parking is $40.00 for 24 hours (additional $10 for oversized vehicles). Additional charges will apply if 24-hour period is exceeded. There are no IN/OUT privileges.

Yes, this may be paid by credit/debit card at check-in. A refundable incidental hold will be taken at check-in in addition to your projected room charges. Incidental hold: $100 per day up-to a maximum of $200 per stay.

Full payment and incidentals will be pre-authorized on your credit card at time of check-in.
The hotel will release the authorization on your departure day. While most credit cards issued by US based banks take 5-7 business days, it can also depend on the issuing bank’s policies. INTERNATIONAL debit and credit cards may take up to 30 days or more depending on the bank.

No, we do not provide roll away beds. All of our guest rooms are sized to accommodate a specific number of guests in accordance with NY fire safety laws.

No, we do not currently offer dry cleaning or laundry service. We can certainly make recommendations if you require these services.

There is a vending machine located in the Fitness Center on the Lobby level. Ice is available upon request. You may request ice by dialing “0” on the room phone or by speaking with one of our Front Desk team members.
The hotel will accept packages for all arriving and in-house guests. Packages without a matching name to the reservation will not be accepted and will be sent back to sender. The Mansfield Hotel will not store packages throughout the guest stay in the package room. All packages should be addressed to the name of the guest(s) registered on the reservation, followed by the complete address of the hotel. Please make sure you have the tracking number of your package in order to collect your package. If checking out, collect your package well in advance. This service is included in the facility fee. Please note we do not hold regular mail.
Yes, we do have a luggage holding area. The hotel can hold luggage as early as 3 days prior to arrival date providing there is a future reservation booked. The hotel cannot hold onto luggage beyond 11:59PM of departure date. In addition, the hotel does NOT offer overnight storage.
TAX EXEMPTION: All guests who are tax exempt will need to bring their own New York City and State tax exemption forms fully signed. In addition to providing the tax exemption documents, the tax-exempt organization must pay for the stay in order for it to be tax exempt. This can be prepaid with the organization’s credit card (CC authorization form) at least 14 days prior to check-in. We would then apply payment for the room charge and set up the tax exemption in the hotel system so taxes do not run.
If the stay is not prepaid and guest claims tax exemption at check-in, they need to present the tax exemption documents and the exempt organization’s CC that belongs to the guest on arrival.
If the guest paid on their own without a tax exempt form or pre-payment on arrival, then the guests have a 90 day window after check-out to present proof of tax exemption and payment from the organization (CC authorization form). Once we receive the valid ST-129 New York State form, we will refund the taxes charged in full.
